  • My family is vegan and we were in Texas visiting our parents. We were SO happy to find some plant-based options and Plantaqueria was definitely our favorite. We had the tacos, quesadilla, elote en vaso and rice & beans. The only bad thing was I ran out of room before I could finish all the delicious food. I will eat here every time I'm in the area.   • A definite must-try! They've cracked the code on vegan breakfast tacos with made-in-house corn and flour tortillas, vegan eggs, and a perfect spicy salsa. There are great protein options, too, especially the vegan chorizo. I'm even impressed with their treatment of vegan cheese(I) -normally something that disappoints me, they crisped up one side of it to make a wonderful texture that contrasts the creaminess. The cold brew coffee with oat milk was delicious. The beans are locally-roasted and sourced from Indigenous women in Mexico.

  • This is a great little place near Alamo. The carne asada was one the best vegan tacos I've ever had. Very good and attentive service definitely worth a visit if you are in the San Antonio area. Good to see healthy plant based options.
