This concept has been many years in the making, and I’m so grateful to see it growing! Plantaquería began as a small batch vegan tamal company around the holidays of 2020.

My goal has always been to provide plant-based versions of the Mexican foods we grew up loving, without sacrificing the flavors we cherish. With heart disease and high cholesterol affecting many of our families, including mine, we hope to change attitudes toward a healthier, cholesterol-free diet—one taco at a time.
